AOL Web Page Storage Refresh Instructions
There have been several complaints from web site viewers where they could not access the latest version of the web site. Update to the site could not be seen by people using AOL as the web browser. Research into this problem has found that AOL provides the option of storing accessed web site information on your hard drive to allow for faster access to the site. The problem with this is the stored site information may not allow access to updated site information. To ensure you are seeing the latest site data, you must do one of two things:
1. Turn off the store on hard drive function or
2. Clear the stored information prior to accessing this web site
The procedure is as follows:
1. Click on "Settings" from the AOL main page
2. Click on "Internet (Web) Option" from the Settings Main page
3. Either click on "Do not store Web pages" - This will slow down access to all previously accessed web sites - or
4. Leave "Store Web pages I view on AOL for faster browsing" and click on "Clear Storage" prior to accessing the Lauffer History web page.
The access to the Lauffer History Web site from AOL is significantly slower than from other browsers. If you have access to an alternative browser, it is recommended that you use the alternative browser.
